Binance CEO holds talks with Donald Trump’s World Liberty Financial team during worldwide initiative

World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a cryptocurrency initiative associated with the Trump family, is ramping up its global expansion efforts. This comes in light of discussions with Changpeng Zhao, the founder and former CEO of Binance.

On April 27, the founders of WLFI—Zach Witkoff, Zak Folkman, and Chase Hero—met with Zhao in Abu Dhabi for an important meeting.

Insights shared on X reveal that their discussions centered around promoting greater cryptocurrency acceptance on a global scale and ways to enhance industry standards.

WLFI’s team indicated that additional dialogues with Zhao are likely, referring to this initial meeting as just the start of a larger partnership.

The interaction with Zhao signifies a notable step in WLFI’s strategy to extend its influence beyond the US and align with influential figures in the worldwide crypto scene.

After the meeting, Zhao remarked on the likelihood of mainstream media twisting the narrative to generate negative coverage.

He expressed:

“I have a feeling the traditional media will try to make up some negative story about this.”

This reaction is predictable, given Zhao’s previous encounters with misleading reports suggesting he was negotiating an investment arrangement with the Trump family regarding Binance.US, the American division of Binance.

Zhao clarified that such accounts were false and aimed at discrediting both the president and the cryptocurrency sector.

WLFI Forms MoU With Pakistan Crypto Council

In a related development shortly after the Abu Dhabi meeting, WLFI entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Pakistan Crypto Council (PCC).

This agreement highlights WLFI’s goal to advance financial inclusion among the youth in Pakistan while fostering blockchain innovation within the region.

Witkoff noted that this partnership underscores WLFI’s dedication to creating diverse economic opportunities.

Bilal Bin Saqib, the CEO of PCC and now a strategic advisor for WLFI, mentioned that the collaboration aims to unveil substantial prospects in growing markets. He stated:

“Our goal is to work alongside industry leaders and showcase Pakistan as a global case study in how emerging markets can harness blockchain to create transformative opportunities.”
