Ripple’s $25 Million Commitment
Despite the established link between educational achievement and long-term economic potential, the blockchain payment firm noted on Monday that a significant number of classrooms nationwide are still facing resource shortages.
Ripple referenced a recent survey which disclosed that 55% of US parents and guardians are dissatisfied with the quality of K-12 education, raising concerns about funding limitations in the educational landscape.

Ripple’s initiative aims to tackle these issues by offering essential aid to students, educators, and school personnel, ultimately restoring trust and fostering positive outcomes in learning environments.
“Ripple has consistently advocated for financial and educational accessibility for everyone, teaming up with impactful organizations—DonorsChoose and Teach For America—to benefit countless classrooms across the nation,” stated Brad Garlinghouse, Ripple’s CEO.

In an innovative twist, most of the $25 million grant will be distributed in Ripple USD (RLUSD), the company’s stablecoin tied to the US dollar.

Ripple’s collaborations with these organizations will target various progressive initiatives throughout the year, including funding for thousands of classroom projects and teacher requests during Teacher Appreciation Week, supporting Teach For America’s Ignite tutoring initiative nationwide, and launching a nationwide STEM Innovation Challenge.
Additionally, Ripple revealed that the partnership seeks to bolster financial literacy for both students and educators, equipping them with essential skills necessary for success in an ever-changing job market.
“Teachers are going above and beyond for their students, often spending hundreds or even thousands of dollars out of their own pockets for classroom resources,” remarked Alix Guerrier, CEO of DonorsChoose.
