Bitcoin ETFs see highest inflow since May 2 as investor interest rises.

On May 19, spot Bitcoin ETFs experienced inflows of $667.4 million, marking the second-highest single-day inflow for the month, and continuing a positive trend for four consecutive days.

Leading the charge was BlackRock’s IBIT with $305.9 million, followed closely by Fidelity’s FBTC, which brought in $199.1 million, and Ark’s ARKB with $155.3 million. This recent influx came on the heels of consistent buying during the prior four trading days, resulting in total inflows exceeding $1.25 billion from May 15 to May 19.

On May 15, there were net inflows of $114.9 million, bouncing back from a notable outflow of $91.4 million recorded on May 13, which had followed a period marked by stagnation and outflows earlier that month.

By May 14, it was evident that investor interest had returned, with $319.5 million flowing into the ETFs, spearheaded by IBIT and FBTC. May 16 further contributed with another $260.0 million, maintaining the buying trend that carried through the weekend into Monday.

Table showing spot Bitcoin ETF flows from May 1 to May 19, 2025

During the period from May 15 to May 19, Bitcoin’s value increased from $103,786 to $105,616, reaching a high of $106,473 on May 18. The upward trend accelerated over the weekend, indicating that ETF investors may have been proactive, reacting to the strength in the spot market.

Even with a slight dip on May 19, Bitcoin’s price remained above $105,000, a threshold last encountered in March, reinforcing the notion that the influx of capital into ETFs closely correlates with the recovery or defense of significant price levels.

In contrast to the first half of May, which saw an outflow of $85.7 million on May 6 and the largest withdrawal on May 13, the latter part of the month has demonstrated a marked reversal in trend.

With no outflows from Grayscale’s GBTC on May 19 and several issuers showing robust activity, the ETF market seems to have stabilized, aligning with Bitcoin’s recovery to above $100,000.
