JD Vance at the 2025 Bitcoin Conference

At the largest yearly Bitcoin event, recently taking place in Las Vegas, the U.S. Vice President delivered an address to the cryptocurrency community, emphasizing a supportive stance towards digital currencies.

Vance expressed his confidence in technological advancements, describing the cryptocurrency sector as a paradigm of authentic grassroots innovation that is positively impacting the lives of many.

He also projected that in the near future, 100 million individuals would hold Bitcoin.

Discussing the overall landscape, he remarked that:

Cryptocurrency serves as a safeguard against unfavorable policies in Washington, regardless of the political party in power, and acts as a buffer against rampant inflation that diminishes people’s savings, as well as against private enterprises that might discriminate based on consumers’ fundamental beliefs, including their political views.

Additionally, Vance mentioned the necessity of putting an end to the contentious initiative known as Chokepoint 2.0, pledging that future administrations would not seek to undermine the cryptocurrency sector.
