Kraken’s Ex-Legal Head Marco Santori Moves to Pantera Capital
Marco Santori, previously the chief legal officer at Kraken, has become a general partner at Pantera Capital within their investment team.
Having left Kraken in January 2025, Santori will concentrate on enhancing Pantera’s cryptocurrency investments while providing regulatory compliance and strategic growth support for portfolio companies, as mentioned in a recent announcement.
He will also maintain his involvement with lawmakers to promote the establishment of transparent and innovation-friendly regulations both in the U.S. and internationally, as stated by Pantera.
The push for clearer cryptocurrency regulations in the U.S. has become a key area of interest for companies preparing for future developments.
Santori, who has previously appeared before Congress to discuss crypto regulation, is famed for creating the “SAFT” (Simple Agreement for Future Tokens) framework, which has become fundamental for compliant token sales.
“I’m joining Pantera at a critical juncture for the global crypto landscape. After a decade of effort, governments are beginning to recognize the advantages of blockchain technology,” Santori expressed in a statement. “The timing is just right, and Pantera is exceptionally positioned to take advantage of these changes.”
